Loquat

The initial flowering period of Baiyu loquat is from late October to early November, while the blossoming period is from mid to late November, and the final flowering period is in early January. The best time to pick the loquat fruit is from late May to early June.

Red Bayberries

At Taihu Lake Bay, June is the season to eat red bayberries. Hundreds of acres of red bayberry gardens lay in Chengxi Hui Village, Feixiang Tea Plantation, and Shanggao Reservoir. Tourists can purchase fresh red bayberries directly from farmers or have the opportunity to both pick and taste the fruit at one of many farms.

Peaches

In the green water and mountains of Taihu Lake Bay, peach trees thrive on the excellent water quality, fertile soil adjacent to the lake, abundant trace minerals, clean natural air, and sufficient sunshine. Baifeng and Hujing are the two main peach varieties in Taihu Lake Bay. Baifeng has the best taste in July. Afterward, the sweeter Hujing matures. The entire picking season lasts for about six weeks starting in early July.

Grapes

Bunches of purple, green, and red grapes growing on grape vines are hard to resist. Picking grapes in the grape gardens at Taihu Lake Bay while they are in season from early July to late August is a very family-friendly activity.

Pears

Pear is at its best in August. Take a big bite of a fresh, juicy pear and you will taste the sweetest, coolest and most refreshing flavor.
