The Jiangsu Taihu Xueyan Modern Aquatic Science and Technology Sample Park is built on the first national Taihu silver fish farm. Healthy breeding is demonstrated at the farm from instruction by the Ministry of Agriculture. It also home to the national Demonstration Base of Recreational Fishery and the Aquatic Product Production Base of the Vegetable Basket in Jiangsu province.

The Jiangnan brand of Taihu frozen silver fish is the key product of the Sample Park and has received several awards, including Product Protection Medal of National Geographical Indication, the Jiangsu Famous-brand Agricultural Products, the Jiangsu Famous-brand Products and Changzhou Famous-quality Agricultural products. The manufacturing standard here has been set as the industrial standard. The dried fish gift package of Taihu Three White, which is produced in Demonstration Park, is popular with tourists.
