Chengxi Hui Village is located in the Chengwan Mountain area of Xueyan Town in Wujin District, with Taihu Lake in the south and Wuxi-Yixing Highway in the north. Transportation to Chengxi Hui Village is convenient. This village is the only ethnic neighborhood in Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou area. There are 96 Hui households with 320 Hui people.
According to the records of Wujin county, the village was settled in the Yuan dynasty (1264 AD from Kublai Khan ) by the Hui people, who moved south. Popular surnames include Han, Dong, Lu, Mi, Yang, Gu and others. According to the Han and Dong family trees, their ancestors moved from Nanyang county, Henan province, and Longxi county, Gansu province, respectively, in the Yuan dynasty. The Hui ethnic group has survived for over 700 years. They have lived in harmony with the Han people and have practiced intermarriage, mutual understanding and mutual accommodation in living habits, mutual help in production activities, and mutual respect for customs.

In recent years, Chengxi Hui Village has taken advantage of the influence of Taihu Lake Bay Resort, and actively introduced some third industry enterprises to the resort. The Village strives to develop characteristic and ecological agriculture related to tourist sight-seeing. The villagers have planted pear, peach, grape, and tea trees, and allow visitors to come, pick, and buy the fruit grown on their trees. Tourists can experience the joy of picking fruit while simultaneously promoting the sale of fruit. The village has conducted in-depth environmental renovation, improved the image of this village with ethnic features and Islamic culture, and created its own green and ecological environmental brand.
The Village has successively won honorary titles such as National Ecological Village, Changzhou's Most Beautiful Village, and one of the Top 10 Most Beautiful Villages in Wujin District.
