Yapu Village of Xueyan town is located beside Taihu Lake and intersects Mashan of Wuxi in the east and Yixing in the west. It has a convenient location.
Yapu Village strives to focus on being "green", and reduce, reuse, and recycle. With a 3,500-acre forest, it is a typical village focused on environmental protection.
The village insists on preserving the traditional way of life. The village, houses, forest and villagers all coexist harmoniously. The village includes Yapu Park, Yapu Manor, orange farm base, bamboo forest, fishing base, and dairy farm, which are common tourist attractions.
Rural Character
The history of brewing wine in Yapu village can be traced to the 28th year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1902). It was introduced by Lu Hongsheng, the 8th generation of Lu Wanxue, who was in the Ministry of War in the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty. Yapu Winery is named after the Yapu Village, whose history spans a thousand years.
